They do not just look like wood anymore. Laminate floors are the latest rage in flooring. They have proven their durability on European floors for twenty years and have been very popular in the USA for the last several years. Laminate floors are ten times more durable than no-wax vinyl floors and cost approximately three and one half times as much to purchase initially. Laminate floors are appropriate for all rooms, above and below grade; however, they are most typically used in kitchens, baths and entries. We have sold numerous jobs where laminates were installed in the entire house and the customers were very happy. Laminate floors are easy to clean and are scratch resistant.

Originally, laminate floors were predominately wood look patterns. Now, there are beautiful, realistic ceramic tile looks. These beautiful tiles closely resemble real ceramic tile. While they are not quite as durable, they give an excellent look and good durability in areas that do not allow the ½” height requirement of ceramic tile.

Laminate floor planks are clicked to each other but NOT fastened to the underlayment, hence; they are also referred to as floating floors. They are installed over a vapor barrier/pad and are trimmed out with matching end caps, thresholds and quarter rounds. You may easily install them yourself or have one of our highly trained professionals install the floor for you.
